Barbara, graduated from the Graphic Desigh School in Bologna in 1982.

Staying in Bologna, she trained with an artistic prints company together with the G.A.M. (Gallery of Modern Art) in Bologna for many years until leaving in 1987.

Then she started working for several fashion companies as designer travelling all over the world for sourcing and productions.

From 1994 she studied as hobby the arts of Calligraphy with the Italian Calligraphy Association which has some of the greatest contemporary teachers. Now she is also member of Iampeth, the International Association of Master Penmen, Engravers and Teachers of Handwriting and she has been two times in America studying with Michael Sull (the White House calligrapher) Spencerian Script.

Taking inspiration from everyday objects that surround us, Barbara works mainly mixing calligraphy, fabric and various materials.
